Fibromyalgia and Laser Therapy
Italian researchers used laser beams in the treatment of fibromyalgia. From 1980 to 1995, 846 patients with fibromyalgia were treated with defocalized laser therapy.
The results were positive in comparison to other types of treatments. The laser beam treatments reduced the pain of fibromyalgia in a consistent and persistent way. The researchers say that about 2/3 of the patients were helped from the laser beam treatment.
