The Chinese Character for Yang refers to the sunny side of a hill while the character for Yin refers to the shadow side of the hill. Yin and Yang describe the world we know as a relationship between complimentary opposites.
Anything which shares the qualities in the first column is considered Yang. Anything which shares the qualities of the second column is considered Yin.
